Cookie policy
Most of what this guide stores on your device is small and short-lived. A handful of cookies keep the site working properly and let us see, in aggregate, which pages get read. Nothing here builds a profile of you personally, and nothing here is sold to a third party.
The technical cookies are the simplest category. They remember basic preferences, such as whether a banner has already been dismissed, and they expire on their own after a short period. Removing them changes nothing about what content is available to you; the site works the same way once they are cleared.
Analytics cookies are the second category, and they are aggregate rather than personal. They show which pages receive the most visits and where readers tend to leave, without attaching any of that to a person, a contact detail or an account, because this site keeps none of those to attach it to. That aggregate picture is what shapes which topics this guide covers in depth.
A third kind of cookie is not ours at all. Following a link on this site to PH33 itself can set a campaign cookie that belongs to the operator, recording that the visit came through this guide. That cookie lives outside our control: we cannot read it, delete it on your behalf, or say exactly how long the operator keeps it. Anything about how PH33 itself handles that cookie has to come from PH33, not from this page.
This guide carries no advertising network of its own and sets no third-party ad cookies. The only outside cookie a reader might encounter is the operator’s own, and it is only set once a reader clicks through to PH33, on PH33’s own domain rather than this one.
Every modern browser lets you view, block or delete cookies through its own settings, and doing so will not affect your ability to read this guide. Clearing cookies resets the technical preferences and starts the analytics count over for that browser; it does not lock you out of anything or require any further action. There is no newsletter signup here and no login of our own, which limits how much a cookie could ever track even if one were built to.
What this site collects more broadly, beyond cookies, is covered separately in the privacy policy. The conditions under which this information is published at all are set out in the terms of use.
None of this changes depending on which device you read from. A phone, a laptop and a shared computer each get treated the same way: the same short list of technical and analytics cookies, and nothing else set by this guide on top of them.
